The Breast Center is a centre of excellence in all aspects of management:
Women with a family history of breast cancer usually want to know what their risk of developing breast cancer is. A risk assessment can be done by the Specialist Breast Surgeon and a plan of management formulated. Sometimes referral for genetic counseling is required.
Survivorship encompasses the many aspects of a person’s life when recovering from a cancer diagnosis and/or treatments. At the Breast Centre we see survivorship planning as part of our ongoing surveillance and continued care. This planning will commence towards the end of any therapies required and will be a joint plan completed by the Breast Clinician Dr Brooke Davy and the Breast Care Nurses. If you are not one of our patients the link below is provided to help you to build your own survivorship care plan, but please discuss these issues with your Oncologist, Surgeon, General Practitioner or Breast Care Nurse and any queries you have about this plan.
